Ronald McNair
Born October 21, 1950 - January 28, 1986,
a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, was one of the astronauts
killed during the lauch of the space
shuttle Challenger, mission STS-51-L.
Darla Moore
Born August 1, 1954 the daughter of Eugene and Loraine Moore. Darla is a pioneering woman in the banking industry and a benefactor to many institutions in South Carolina. At the University of South Carolina, the Moore School of Business is named after her.
